Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth are called by the judge in court to try a last-minute case. Someone spray-painted a wall with the phrase: "DON'T LET YOUR FAMILY DESTROY THE DEVIL, FIGHT". Larry Butz, Phoenix's friend, is called to testify on the case. Phoenix uses his cards to plead the case, while Miles pins Phoenix. Who will be the real culprit for spraying the sentence?
Phoenix finds himself in trouble when the entire troupe decides to go to a Japanese festival. Aware that he won't be able to take care of all the troublemakers, he decides to ask the only responsible adult in his circle of friends for help. However, neither of them could have imagined that a simple festival would turn into a trigger capable of releasing a feeling sealed 24 years ago.
At the end of 2016, all that remains of celebrated prosecutor Miles Edgeworth is ashes. And the only person able to make him rise from them is the one who started the fire.
