God's Plan for Piracy and the Stars
The 18th century had everything to be wonderful: intrigue, beauty, betrayals, banquets… Yet Crowley and Aziraphale agreed never, ever to touch the subject, and it was more than their friendship that was at stake. It was worth a one-way ticket elsewhere; it was worth a war. It was the biggest betrayal either of them could commit. Except, of course, they never put such an agreement into words. Or even wrote. They just knew. And it had something to do with Aziraphale as an English nobleman "kidnapped" (or so they said) by a red-haired pirate to make maidens swoon at the very sound of his name (or so they wrote in the books): Crowley.
