The king of Berk, Stoick Strondus, had his daughter as a baby, torn from his arms. He asked for help from his people, who simply ignored him, with machismo and prejudice for Seeylfe being his heir. In anger and rancor, Stoick creates a law, which exiles all firstborn from all families in the kingdom. If he couldn't have his firstborn, no one could have his. Twenty years later, Seeylfe grew up to take over the leadership of the exiles, while her brother, Hiccup, took over the leadership of Berk. A war breaks out between the two nations and all this chaos could unite families that were separated a long time ago.
