Alex is sentenced to prison for her connection to international trafficking, as well as Piper for helping her once in an illicit shipment of drug money. The two arrests, however, do not occur simultaneously and Alex, being incarcerated first, has plenty of time to rethink all her actions and decide whether to hand Piper over to justice. The dilemma, the anger, the memories and the broken heart, which lead to his decision to snitch on his ex-girlfriend, and all that confusion and indecision, describe Alex's weeks before Piper arrived in Leitchfield.
