João e Maria

Louise Albuquerque

Everyone knows the story of João and Maria... Two children who got lost in the forest and are attracted to a house made of sweets, where a kind old lady lived there, who actually wanted to devour them. But the truth behind this story is much more macabre, dark and violent than the tales tell... They went through torture and abuse at her hand, but somehow managed to escape. However, they both fall victim to a terrible curse and now, in present times like Johnny and Maggie, they must break the curse once and for all and save humanity from a cruel fate. Before it's too late.
