"All a dream needs to come true is someone who believes it can come true" (Roberto Shinyashiki) Was she just a delusion of my sad and lonely mind?
This fic tries to answer the question: ''What would have happened if Kim had returned to Edward's castle?'', is an alternative ending to my favorite movie. Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, every time we watch this movie, it's like the first time. For those who haven't seen it, I highly recommend it! Edward Scissorhands o/
Edward meets Kim again after 10 years. Brief summary of Edward Scissorhands' true story: dward is the 'creation' of an old inventor, who dies before he has a chance to finish his last work, a a man of flesh and blood, leaving him with none of his hands and completely alone, in the dark mansion where only the two of them lived. Instead of hands, there were scissors with which he sculpted and tended the mansion's garden. Some time later, a very nice and thoughtful lady, named Peg, who works selling cosmetic products, decides to go visit the mansion with a rather gloomy appearance, to try to sell her products, which was a little far from the city. Upon entering the mansion, she comes across Edward and realizes that the boy has been completely alone for a long time, Peg cannot abandon him there and decides to take him to spend time in the city, along with her family, which causes a lot of agitation on the part of their neighbors. Edward becomes a 'celebrity' and for a while, everyone vie for his attention and seems to enjoy his eccentricity. Even Kim, Peg's eldest daughter, with whom he falls in love at first sight and who doesn't like the boy, right away, starts to see something special in him, which doesn't please her boyfriend, Jim. However, all this euphoria around Edward doesn't last long. Jim wants to rob a house and decides to pretend to be Edward's friend, to use the boy's scissor hands to open the doors of the house. Upon entering the house the alarm goes off and everyone runs away, leaving Edward alone, Kim tries to convince her boyfriend to come back but he doesn't. The Police arrive and take Edward away. Peg manages to explain the whole misunderstanding to the cops, but after what happened the whole town turns against him, with the exception of Kim, who knows he never did anything wrong and defends him. Edward, who was fed up with so much confusion, decides to run away, but new conflicts cause him to be chased by the townspeople, the police and, if he is driven out of there, back to his mansion. Jim, Edward's biggest opponent, decides to go after him and kill him, after being rejected by Kim, who follows him and tries to stop him. A fight between the two takes place at Edward's mansion, which ends with Jim's death when he falls from the mansion's attic window. Kim comes up with the idea to forge a story that Edward and his ex-boyfriend killed each other so he doesn't get arrested. So the two say goodbye and Kim takes Edward's spare scissors with her, as proof of his death, to the townspeople, who were waiting apprehensively outside the mansion.
Everything was so sad, without a concrete end. Kim wouldn't leave it like that, she would do something. She would go back to Edward and tell him that she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life. She was decided on that choice, and she was sure that her plan to be with her lover would work!
