However, she is in no position to judge, as she is in love with her childhood friend Soren Lorense, who lived with her while Lola's mother volunteered in Haiti, but cannot bring herself to admit it to him. Incredibly around the same time, Marv, Charlie's best friend and who was platonically in love with Lola during their childhood, also returns from college in Toronto, Canada. And just to add even more to the cake, as if things weren't horrible enough, Lotta, who was Charlie's first crush, returns to town after five years without news.
