Synopsis

I didn't want to be weak again, but I knew I was. I didn't want him to know that I'd already given up on his own idea of keeping me clean. And I definitely didn't want to give in and tell him that my sudden return to drugs was because of the pain of losing him. No, I wouldn't. I would go on pretending that everything was fine inside my heart. Yeah, I was going to keep pretending to be the Bert McCracken I always pretended to be.

the Unforgiven

That bed, the same one in which Davey and I spent our first and last moments together. That sheet still had its strong cologne, despite being washed so many times. I could see him smiling at me as I closed my eyes. I could see every scene of the little life we had together, each love scene, each companionship scene, each affection scene, each laugh, each pair of bright eyes as they met.
