After Kilgrave's death, Jessica meets someone more powerful and dangerous, with an instinct for revenge. This story is a rewriting of one of my first fanfics, posted years ago on this same profile with the same title, but this one is a little more, evolved, let's say.
Fate is too uncertain. Each choice opens up a new range of possibilities and each answer brings a new sea of questions. When Thanos wins the fight and decimates half the universe, the fine line between perseverance and renunciation - called hope - seems to blur in the eyes of the survivors. But not for the Hulk. Twenty-six years after Bruce Banner swore to keep a secret, he must break his oath to bring to light the last chance the Avengers will have to defeat Thanos: his daughter Lavinia Banner, the guardian of the last Infinity Stone. Someone had told him something about the lies once. "Lies are powerful, Matthew. The more you tell, the more you omit, the more power you hold." He remembered questioning what kind of power something so bad could offer. "The power to destroy someone completely. That's what lies do, they take the ones you love most from you—and it's your fault. There's no beautiful lie, Matt... Just a lie." (Provisional synopsis)
