Death The Kid, Soul Eater and Black Star are partners who work in their own shop, the Spiritual Bakery. On a day like any other, they meet Maka Albarn and Tsubaki Nakatsukasa, girls who they later discover are friends with Kid's ex-girlfriend Holly. Unable to escape the magnetism they exert on each other, the group spends three months interacting well with each other, until a witch ruins the Halloween celebration.
