1Fanfic of the book Carmilla, written in 1871 by Le Fanu. I tried to use language similar to the author's, but, of course, with limitations. The cover image is an illustration by Friston. The entire plot was thought and developed by me, based on the novel by La Fanu. Don't copy, be original!

“Could we pretend—just for tonight that if I'd asked, we'd have run away? We'd find some way out and we'd go. Somewhere without murders or sisters. We could sleep in hotel rooms and never live in the same city twice. There would be no one to fail or disappoint, or save. It would just be... You and me." Finally, Laura accepts the invitation to escape with Carmilla. She bids her farewell to Silas University, even denying part of her principles to start an aimless trajectory with whom she becomes she proposed to love and perhaps it is this love that drives her to an unplanned departure through the Styrian Alps.
Charles is a patient of an asylum and suffers constant delusions with the figure of a man, showing a certain contempt and a certain attachment to the man. Misunderstood by his psychiatrist and having his sanity completely ignored, Charles goes back to the roots where it all started: A castle far away. Charles was once a bankrupt solicitor who went out on business. In this mysterious place, he meets James. What Charles still doesn't know is James' true face, and how he will come to live with his client. With Charles gone, Valerie receives an unexpected visit, in which she will be emotionally supported to fill the void left by his absence and finds herself in an impasse of love and hate that could bring inexorable consequences.
What happened after the first kiss enters Carmilla and Laura. One shot.
Some doors, once opened, can never be closed again. Helena is in no hurry, nor is she afraid, and she does not let herself be swayed by pretty words. But every rose has its thorn. When two such different presences cross her path, she will discover that it is not possible to keep everything under control at all times. One calms, the other sets ablaze. One is shelter, the other is storm. For even the gentlest calm holds a flame, and within the storm itself there is already a harbinger of tranquility - each heart carries within itself both the flame and the breeze that can extinguish it. Be careful not to lose yourself. The labyrinth is yours, and only you will find the way out.
In a city devastated by war, we follow the journey of two survivors who have learned, each in their own way, to live with violence, loss, and loneliness. He does not know that he saved her life. She knows only that he is more dangerous than the killers who threatened her. Neither of them seeks company. Nor do they believe that there is still room for kindness in a world where surviving demands so much. But a dead boy and an almost insignificant act of kindness end up intertwining their fates. Between small acts of care, silences, and difficult choices, two strangers discover that surviving the war may not be as difficult as learning to live after everything they have lost.
Se o passado dele não fosse exatamente como lembrava? Se ela nunca tivesse mostrado ser quem era de verdade? Ela se lembrava de tudo. Ele não se lembrava de nada. Ela tinha uma missão. Ele um desejo de vingança. Ela sabia a verdade. Ele sabia o que seu irmão quis que ele soubesse. Uma amizade de infância que precisou ser afastada, mas um laço que jamais seria desfeito. Seria possível que depois de tantos anos, tantas dores e decepções, que eles pudessem se reaproximar?
