Inhaltsangabe

We all wear masks constructed of lies. All are different and have different goals—there are those that simulate feelings and there are those that simulate people. Ansel Falconer wears a much more elaborate mask than most people. Not just a mask, but also a crown. Addicted to power, he uses his persuasion to dominate his school, devising subtle lies to force his peers to worship him. All this to fill that void that screams in his chest, the inability to love — or feel good — for anyone other than himself. When Ansel meets Gabriel, he sees the same emptiness in his eyes. But deep in the shadows, there is something. The desperation of the women Gabriel had killed at his pleasure. Ansel clearly sees the monster behind his cracked mask.
