asphyxia
He with him was not condemned, but only the former was - for being born and raised, simply. And he, the condemned, could not also condemn the one he wanted to have. (...) "The torment is that he, the policeman, knows. And he tries to pretend that everything is fine, when everyone else sees that it isn't."

“I read this story on FanFictionNet, but I had to come here on Nyah! to recommend. I rarely recommend a story, but I thought this one deserved it. I've been in love with IAN since I laid eyes on the first book and since then I've been looking for lots of fanfics that do the series justice. This is the first. I don't know how to explain it very well, but the narration in this fanfic is abnormal. In that good way. In that indescribable way. In that way that makes you take your breath away and wonder where the hell you were that you hadn't read the fanfic before. I loved every bit of what I read. The way Ju described everything was stupendous and lyrical. Besides, it's Butch and V that this is about... it's about their impossibilities and what J.R. has turned them into. I think this fanfic is one of those that does justice to what happened to V. It's one of those that guides you and shows how you're feeling when what you wanted was to take Butch's book from the series and throw it on the wall because He doesn't understand what the hell J.R. is doing there. Asphyxiation is the crying felt for everything that wasn't and everything that could have been. Maybe you think I'm exaggerating a little and that's okay, as long as you read the story. For everything I said and other things, I recommend this story. I'm sure if there's a little bit of love for Butch and V in your heart you'll love it. I guarantee.”
