A história que conhecem é a que acompanhamos nos jogos e mangá de Ocarina of Time onde o herói do tempo triunfa sob Ganondorf, mas aqui é contado o outro lado, uma batalha final que culmina na linha de tempo em que o herói é derrotado. Tudo que é revelado desse acontecimento é o pouco contido nos livros e em A Link to the Past, por isso por este irão ver a derradeira batalha de Link para salvar Zelda e deixar seu legado para o próximo sucessor.

Link of Hyrule, a random boy, travels to the Kingdom of Hyrule to save Princess Zelda, who was kidnapped by Ganon, the Demon King, who also destroyed the Triforce, the Source of Power of the Ancient Goddesses. To save the Princess and the Kingdom, Link will have the help of several allies in search of the Magic Sword: The Sword with the power to destroy Evil and join the 8 pieces of the Triforce, in order to defeat Ganon and save Zelda.
A tireless hero, or perhaps only human. All the adrenaline of wanting to save his friends kept Link from realizing that his body was going overboard.
Link lives a relatively normal life as a circus performer along with his co-workers. But when a terrifying sorcerer threatens to destroy Hyrule, Link is one of the few people who have the courage to stand up to him. For that, our hero has to face several challenges, and eventually find Princess Zelda.
It's been two years since the Calamity left. Hyrule has been completely rebuilt and now it's time to celebrate. However, things are not so simple, and a sudden incident breaks the peace that had been going on. Link then embarks on another of his journeys. And he discovers that sometimes our greatest enemy can be ourselves.
