Four divers begin an exploration of the Ordinskaya underground cave in the Ural Mountains, Russia, and only Dr. Erick Bernstein returns, between life and death. When a heavy snowstorm isolates the members of the B.S.A.A. in the cave and forces them to advance further and further into the Sphere complex, a testing ground for Umbrella, they are forced to cooperate with their enemies if they want to leave the complex alive, as the base's self-destruct system has been initiated, and the whole place will explode in 24 hours. However, the creatures that still inhabit the Sphere have other plans for them.
