“Eu li o livro Capitães de Areia pela primeira vez quando eu tinha quatorze anos e com o passar dos anos fui relendo e me apaixonando cada vez mais pela história, o cenário, pelas personagens, pela forma como Jorge Amado fazias as coisas parecerem tão cruelmente sofridas e ao mesmo tempo lindas para aquelas crianças. Me apaixonei por todo o mundo que ele desenhou com suas palavras. Essa fic me fez sentir quase a mesma coisa, me fez sentir quase como se eu estivesse novamente lendo a obra magnífica do mestre Jorge mais uma vez. O(a) autor(a) conseguiu captar a essência das personagens de uma forma que mesmo que eles sejam adultos agora várias vezes é possível enxergar neles as crianças que foram. Além de responder perguntas que tenho certeza que não apenas eu me fiz, como "o que aconteceu com as crianças do tapiche quando cresceram?" Essa fic é uma resposta, "foi isso que aconteceu". Realista, romântica na medida certa e com um final de certa forma lindamente cruel. Amei, todos deviam ler essa perfeição.”
