When Lydia is kicked out of her school, she has no other choice - yes, she has had to move to San Diego and face the hurdle of living with her unknown, totally hippie family members. Even though she is against the change of scenery, she will have to adapt to a new and unusual routine, having to reformulate certain opinions. Feeling so excluded in this new phase of her life, Lydia ends up finding shelter in a boy whose reputation is dirtier than her old boots.
