A Pirate's Tale

1 The First Expedition

It was 1702 and Corine Jones, a beautiful 18 year old, daughter of the infamous pirate Edward Jones, captain of The Revenge, was about to go on her first official trip as a captain, growing up in the seas made it very easy to Corine, she could navigate through the stars and calculate where and when the storms would hit, she was born to be a captain and she was determined to make her father proud.

The day she left Ireland was really hard on her, she was worried that something bad would happen, a storm, an attack from another ship, or even mermaids, but she got over her worries and gathered her crew in the ship's deck to go over the expedition, they would dock in Port Royal, get news from english ships passing by in Jamaica and get ready to rob and probably sink them. A ship full of high-class people coming from london was due to arrive in three days, so Corine decide to spend the night in Jamaica, partying hard just so they could be relaxed during the heist and attack the ship before it docked.

The next morning the crew was hot and ready, and a little bit hungover, for the first heist they'd pull, they were determined to get out of there with as much gold as they could carry, and if possible a few hostages to work on the ship later. What they didn't know was that the ship had a lot of military personnel and they were definitely armed and ready to fight back, half of Corine's crew was brutally murdered, but yet they managed to kill a lot of english militaries too, but unfortunately the rest of her crew was arrested by the british and taken back to england, where they would stay in jail until they were executed.

Corine couldn't figure out how to get out of that small, stinky and full of rats prison cell, even her right hand man kept saying that he should never have gotten in a ship commanded by a woman, it was a sign of bad luck and that she wasn't strong enough to become captain. She couldn't help but be mad, she wanted to kill him, right there, right then, he was lucky that the british had taken her weapons.

The next morning, was execution day, the remaining of her crew was in line, getting ready to be hanged, luckly Corine was set to be hanged last. First was her right hand man, after he died, Corine felt every possible feeling in one second, happiness, sadness and anger. After a few more people were being executed, it was finally her time and she was getting terrified, she was too scared to die, but most of all she was scared of how her father would feel, disappointed, sad or mad that she had failed him.

There she was, standing in the gallow, as a british guard put a rope across her neck, all she kept getting more scared every second that passed, until, right when they were about to execute her, she heard a few gunshots and saw the guards falling, was this her lucky day, or was someone coming after her?

A few minutes after standing there, with a rope in her neck, just waiting for something to happen, she saw a familiar face, a face she had gotten very found of over the years, it was her father and his crew, there he was, one of the greatest pirates that ever lived, a man who stopped everything just to save his daughter. Corine couldn't help but be relieved, she wasn't going to die today, maybe tomorrow at the hands of dear old dad, who was probably pissed that she lost her entire crew in such a simple heist.

But since it was he lucky day all he did after she was safe and back at his ship was hug her, he was a harsh man, who kept his feeling well hidden, sometimes people wondered if he even had feelings, but he loved his little girl and that's what mattered to him and to Corine.

A few months later, she had decided to go back in the active, take a ship, gather a crew and instead of robbing and killing she would just travel around the world, meeting new people and visiting new places.
